KBO Systems needed a modern form and function to their sedation system that combined the latest sciences with solid engineering in its products to improve healthcare. Avail Creative was tasked with designing a new enclosure to fit their electronic components and a simple User Interface that makes it easy for patients to identify the state of sedation.
The Design
We went with a sleek and modern form that only takes up a little attention for any other device in a medical setting yet stands out well enough to be easily identified. Key features include a tactile, textured surface on the sides for handheld use and friction, while a multicolor LED right indicator ring around the screen that is in sync with the sedation level. Audio cues are also intended in this design. This product fits clamps onto Intravenous poles via a clip on the back and is suitable for a broad range of clinical environments.
